Thanksgiving...and...Christmas!

Finally an update! I was having trouble changing my background but don't worry I figured it all out! My next goal is to figure out how to make the cute header box, we'll see how long that takes me! So... Chad is in Safford until Friday and I'm already bored without him!! I am officially done with school!!! YAY! Chad finished yesterday for the semester and is excited to get a break from studying. I start student teaching January 5th! I am excited and nervous!! It should be a lot of fun as long as the hard work doesn't get in the way!haha We are both super excited for Christmas even though the presents are few this year! We are excited to just be together with family and not have to worry about school or work. We are ALL going to my mom's for Christmas so it should be a SUPER FUN time! I am excited to be a kid again and relive all the fun Christmas traditions. We spent Thanksgiving with Chad's family and the food was delish thanks to Aunt Denise and all the fam! Here's a pic from Thanksgiving of Grandma Crockett and all her grandkids that were there!

Chad and I decorated my mom's house for Christmas since she's really kinda a scrooge when it comes to things like that!haha Chad did a great job with the tree! Better than I could ever do!! We even put the old fashion big bulbs on the house! Ask mom how many times she's turned the lights on since we put them up??? Ya zero! That will soon change when we come home on Monday!

I'll have to take one of the finished product with all the presents!

Well that's about all for our random happenings! Sorry I stink at posting but nothing exciting seems to be happening lately!

Random Happenings!

I am terrible at blogging these days! Sorry for those of you who read my blog! I figured it's about time for another update so here goes with what's been going on in our lives in no particular order! Chad and I went on a super FUN vacation!haha We went to the Capitol! That's right the good ol state capitol of Arizona! I had to plan a fieldtrip for school and this museum was free so off we went! We actually had a really good time! It was a lot better than both of us expected so that was a pleasant surprise! Here's a few pics of the big event!

The House Chamber, part of the USS Arizona, me playing the bill bopper, and the replica of the Liberty Bell! We felt like we were in Washington DC!!haha

We went on a super fun date with Stacie and Richard and Jeff and Murr bowling. The best part was the whole thing was free! Stacie found a coupon online and it was free bowling for 2 hours including the shoes plus a pitcher of soda all for FREE!! Crazy I know! We had a lot of fun even thought bowling is definitely not my strong sport! I feel like I am losing coordination as I get older! Sad day!

The first picture Chad is thinking 'wow my wife stinks at bowling but I still love her!' Don't know why Chad is carrying 2 bowling balls! Look at that perfect bowling form! Chad and Jeff doing what they do best...EATING!!haha
We went to the Cardinals game Monday night with Stacie and Richard! Thanks for taking us it was AWESOME! The game was so much fun! The Cardinals pulled out a Monday night football win against the 49ers! It was down to the final 4 seconds and amazingly we held them twice on the 1 yard line! Although it took us FOREVER to get there we had a blast! That stadium is crazy huge! Like 65 thousand people!! I didn't take my camera so I need to get the pics Stacie took with hers. We were on the 24th row so we had great seats! Our first pro football game was a huge success!!!
That's about all the news from us! We are staying super busy with work and school! I am almost done and the light is shining really bright at the end of the tunnel! A few more weeks and I am done with school!! Yay! Just student teaching starting in January. Chad is doing awesome in his classes as always! He just got 116% on his Circuits test!!! WOW I know! He's so smart and studies so hard he deserves it! We are excited for Thanksgiving and are going to Safford to spend the weekend with Chad's family. We are excited to have a few days to eat and relax and spend time with the crazy Crockett's!! That's about all for us! Hopefully I will have the desire to update soon!!

Update!!

Sorry it's been forever since I updated!! I never have time to look at everyone's blogs so I kinda gave it up! But don't worry I'm back! Lot's has happened since August but I'm not going to worry about filling you all in! Deal with it! I'm just starting fresh so we'll see if I can keep it up!

So Chad had a bit of a scare yesterday. He rode his bike to ASU and on his way back he got mugged by a big black guy! Scary I know! The guy flipped Chad off as he drove by so Chad flipped him off back... not good! When Chad came around the corner the guy was waiting for him on the sidewalk. He grabbed Chad's backpack and yanked him off his bike and started hitting him. He was trying to steal Chad's backpack but Chad started fighting back. The guy got something out of Chad's backpack and then ran back to his car. Chad thought it was his wallet so he ran after him, plus Chad wanted to get the license plate number. The guy ended up dropping the calculator he stole and then trying to rip off his license plate as Chad is yelling it out! He couldn't get it off so he jumped in the car and left. Chad called 911 and nobody was available to talk for like 5 minutes! Ya scary!! Anyways officers came and a firetruck. There were 3 witnesses who all had the same story so pretty much if they catch this guy he's in big trouble. Let's hope they catch him! The firemen checked out Chad and wanted to take him to the hospital but he didn't want to go in an ambulance so he ended up walking his bike home (it was only a block from our house). Meanwhile I was driving to school, right when I pulled in I got the call from Chad, he told me to stay at class but I just couldn't! I ended up meeting him at the ER to get an x-ray for his jaw. Good news it's not broken! Just swolen and really sore! He actually doesn't look to bad... he defended himself quite well I might add!! I am so proud of him for protecting himself and for being smart and getting the license plate number. I know if it was me I would've panicked and got beat up and robbed! A scary situation but we are glad it wasn't worse! Chad is in quite a bit of pain still but he's doing pretty good! I guess you gotta watch your back in this scary world we live in!!
